Psalms 31:11
I was a reproach among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me. I was a reproach among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me.
The psalm provides a prophetic picture of the inner experience of Christ in His suffering. It reveals how He felt during the life-and-death struggles He faced against the enemy. In that conflict He endured reproach and rejection from all those around Him. The rejection was especially keen among His neighbors, and He even became a cause of fear to His acquaintances, so that those who saw Him outside fled from Him.
