Psalms 37:6

And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

When a person commits the way to the Lord and trusts in Him, He will act to bring it to pass by bringing forth that righteousness as the light and the judgment and just cause as the noonday, making them clear and evident like daylight. It belongs with the calls to trust in the Lord, rest in Him and wait patiently for Him rather than fret over wicked people who prosper and carry out wicked devices. For one who is wrongfully accused or ill-treated, it gives assurance to trust God rather than answer in anger, confident that He will reveal the truth. Its fulfillment comes through resting in the Lord and waiting patiently for Him, watching and praying and holding fast to the promises, forgiving enemies, ceasing from anger and wrath, and waiting only upon God in quietness and confidence without fretting or distrust. As people contemplate Christ and respond to His glory by faith, with humble confession and putting away of unbelief and evil, their righteousness is brought into view like light and their judgment like the noonday.

Promise of Clear Vindication

When a person commits the way to the Lord and trusts in Him, He Himself will act and bring it to pass by bringing forth that person's righteousness as the light and judgment and just cause as the noonday, making them clear and evident like daylight. Those who commit the way to God and trust Him have assurance that He will make their righteousness evident like daylight and bring their just cause into full view like the noonday, plainly visible to all. The promise belongs with the calls to trust in the Lord, commit the way to Him, rest in Him and wait patiently for Him rather than fret over wicked people who prosper and bring wicked devices to pass.

It means fleeing to Christ under every circumstance, cleaving close to Jesus and rejoicing in Him as a strong tower into which the righteous run and are safe, with living faith in the power of Jesus Christ and not in personal efficiency and wisdom to bring through every difficulty and temptation. Its fulfillment comes through resting in the Lord and waiting patiently for Him, watching and praying and holding fast to the promises. It comes through forgiving enemies who have bruised and wounded the soul, ceasing from anger and wrath, not fretting over the one who prospers or brings wicked devices to pass, not becoming fretful and complaining, and waiting only upon God in quietness and confidence without a distrustful spirit.

The promise is linked with humble confession, putting away unbelief and evil, and living out God's Word, so that the resulting words and works reflect divine goodness and reveal righteousness plainly. It also means God will vindicate His own name by bringing forth His judgment as the light and His righteousness as the noonday. Wrath is a strange work for Him, but when necessary He will do it, openly exposing and condemning injustice, lack of mercy, and unchristlike example by those honored with connection to His work and great light.

Trust in Trial and Accusation

When a person has committed the way to the Lord and trusts in Him, He acts to make that person's righteousness and just cause clear for all to see, as plainly as daylight and as fully in view as the noonday. For one who is wrongfully accused or ill-treated, this is assurance to trust God rather than answer in anger, confident that He will reveal the truth.

After affliction has accomplished its purpose, God brings righteousness and judgment into clear view like light at noon. Patient endurance through trials exposes hidden character and teaches dependence on God, and affliction can cleanse and purify the heart of selfishness and unchristlike traits, so that the person comes through reflecting the divine character. For those who begin without delay the practical work of overcoming and remain patient under the trials He permits to cleanse them from earthliness, selfishness, and harsh unchristlikeness of character, God will make righteousness and vindication shine openly as light and as noonday, bringing them forth purer, holier, and happier, reflecting the image of Christ and fitted to stand before God without fault.

As people contemplate Christ and respond to His glory by faith, their righteousness is brought into view like light and their judgment like the noonday. When heavenly things become all-absorbing in thought and speech, and a person grows in grace and knowledge of the truth and grows up into Christ as the living head, contemplating the matchless charms of Jesus and realizing the light of His presence by faith makes character shine brightly like daylight at noon and gives a foretaste of the joy of the heavenly world.

God will work for and care for those who calmly trust in Him and wait for Him to act instead of keeping constant anxious care for themselves. Being short at times and brought into strait places is best for faith, because need becomes God's opportunity, and His blessing in emergency brings righteousness to light by increasing love for Him, leading to a higher prizing of temporal blessings, increasing faith, brightening hope, and replacing gloom and doubts and murmuring with cheerfulness, for faith grows only by such exercise of trusting and waiting. When labor is tiring and conditions are hard, God knows all about the matter, and the duty is to hold fast to Christ, rest in quietness, and wait patiently for Him in hope, trusting Him to work out the needed outcome. When the soul waits upon the Lord and rests all upon Him, He will bring it to pass by laying formidable obstacles even with the ground and building up His work, including providing money to advance churches and health work when the way seems too hard to solve, so those who trust can wait for Him to make their righteousness and just cause clear as light at noonday.
