Psalms 38:16
For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me. For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.
Psalm 38 is one of David's songs, giving instruction and devotion and teaching trust and confidence in God. It is a plea for God to hear the speaker, lest otherwise enemies should rejoice over him when his foot slips, magnifying themselves against him and taking his faltering and setback as an occasion to exalt themselves over him. The psalm also reflects something of Christ's experience, prophetically revealing His inner experience as He faced suffering and struggle with the enemy and showing how He felt in experiences the disciples often failed to witness.
