Psalms 45:2

Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.

David caught a prophetic vision of Christ in this verse. It declares His surpassing beauty of character above all people, seen in the divine character He displayed throughout His life on earth. That beauty consists of meekness, gentleness, long forbearance, and compassion and love that cannot be measured. He stands in fullest contrast even to the noblest, gentlest, and most excellent people, so that no other character compares with His and even those called excellent, loving, and beautiful bear only a faint likeness to Him. He is the living representation of God's law and its principles of love.

Grace poured into His lips means grace filled His speech and fitted Him to speak a fitting and timely word to the weary. That grace made His words kind, courteous, pleasant in tone, pure and correct. They refreshed the soul like dew and gentle showers.

That same grace enabled Him to convey the treasures of valuable truth in an attractive, tender, clear, and simple way that brought comfort and instruction to His hearers. His compassionate and tender teaching made the glories of God's kingdom understandable through familiar earthly examples. His gracious speech is the pattern believers must copy by accustoming themselves to the same pleasant, kind, and courteous speech and showing the same kindness and courtesy.
