For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.
The LORD most high is a great King over all the earth, exalted above every earthly power and nation. His terribleness is His power to strike terror into the hearts of transgressors. Yet He regards those very transgressors with compassion and longs for them to turn to Him and be saved from their sins. Because of His exalted position and His mighty works, He is worthy of praise.
