Psalms 48:10

According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.

According to His name, so is the praise due to God to the farthest reaches of the earth, for His right hand is filled with righteousness. The name of God carries His character, and the worldwide praise ascribed to Him corresponds to that character and to the righteous acts of His power. This was sung with understanding by the armies of Judah as they came back laden with spoil to Jerusalem with psalteries and harps and trumpets to the house of the Lord.

They sang it because in obedience to the command to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord they had placed their trust wholly in God. He had proved Himself to be their fortress and their deliverer, and therefore they had great cause to rejoice over their enemies. Their return with spoil and music to the house of the Lord was the fitting expression of that trust vindicated and that deliverance accomplished.
