Psalms 52:5
God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah. God will likewise bring everlasting destruction upon the wicked man, taking him away and plucking him out of his dwelling place and rooting him out of the land of the living. The one so destroyed is the man who stands in selfish independence, trusting in himself rather than making God his strength, trusting in the abundance of his riches and strengthening himself in his wickedness. This is the portion of all who work on Satan's side by refusing to take their stand under the rule of Christ, giving themselves to anarchy and war and strife, loving evil more than good and speaking lying and devouring words of deceit. In the last great day such condemned ones will be made to see how many souls were lost through their failure, while the righteous behold the fulfillment of this judgment and fear.
