Psalms 65:2

O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.

O Thou that hearest prayer is the name and character of God, for He both hears prayer and answers prayer, and unto Him shall all flesh come. He is acquainted with each person's situation, and nothing escapes His notice. Coming unto Him means earnest intercession and living faith that brings the seeker into connection with Him. It means belief without discouragement, humbled hearts and walking in all humility of mind, and confident trust and earnest faith that takes right hold of Him in confident knowledge that He will hear.

Coming unto Him includes meeting together to ask Him for light, with others also asking on behalf of the troubled, and more prayer educated in Bible lines, beginning in the tent on the campground and in the early morning. He hears and answers prayers for strength to resist temptation and overcome sinful habits. When a troubled or perplexing matter is taken to Him, He relieves perplexity, gives light, teaches how to move, gives great grace in the heart, and will certainly bring relief in His own way.

Those facing practical decisions should seek the Lord most earnestly and let Him plan for them. Troubles should be taken to Him rather than to man, since man may have no greater wisdom, so the troubled should not worry but put trust in Him. Sick and suffering ones with disease, suffering, and distress should make Christ their wonderful Healer, looking to Him with trust and faith that He hears and answers. They can be brought to sanitariums for healing where they learn this trust and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Confidence that He hears and can be trusted with confidence grows and the religious life is helped by working for the saving of souls, by taking a stand in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth and laboring for neighbors by talking with them, praying with them, and opening the Scriptures to them. The verse is a promise to be taken hold of with united thanksgiving by praising Him aloud in the midst of the congregation.
