Psalms 65:4
Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple. Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.
Blessed is the man whom God chooses and causes to approach unto Him, that he may dwell in His courts. To be chosen by God and brought near to Him is itself the blessing declared. Tola valued divine worship and chose to live near the tabernacle so that he could attend its services more often.
The blessing is a firm promise and assurance from God to His peculiar people when they take heed to His words. It is found in Christ, in whom people are blessed, and it includes the peace promised to children. It belongs to those who look to Jesus and press upward and forward to the light, purified and sanctified from selfishness and wearing the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit.
It produces a trusting, rejoicing mind that makes those blessed a light to the people among whom they are established. Those blessed let the light of truth shine forth from good works that restore the sick and relieve suffering so that God is glorified.
