Psalms 68:30

Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the people, till every one submit himself with pieces of silver: scatter thou the people that delight in war.

The verse stands in David's song of thankfulness for deliverance from trials, written under the inspiration of the Spirit of Christ. It is a prayer asking God to scatter war-loving peoples, showing that making war is opposed to God. It is typical of the greater David, Christ, as a song of victory foretelling Christ in triumph. The psalm is a latter-day prophecy especially applicable to the remnant church in the closing work of the third angel's message, to be fulfilled at the same time as the prophecy of Isaiah 58.
