When every sin has been confessed to God and every fault confessed to those who were wronged, the soul comes into real liberty. There is then no condemnation resting upon it and no dominion of sin over it. It is as a bird escaped from a fowler's snare once the snare is broken, as a captive set free, and as a prison opened. This freedom comes because Christ as Master gives liberty and life and peace.
