Psalms 71:13

Let them be confounded and consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.

The words form part of David's prayer, which could be taken up by Hezekiah in his dying condition as his bodily strength was failing. It was a fitting plea for one who was trusting in God while asking for divine help in helplessness. Within that prayer the petition calls for adversaries of the soul to be put to confusion and brought to an end. It further asks that those seeking the sufferer's harm be clothed with reproach and dishonor.
