Psalms 71:24
My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt. My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.
The speaker is David in his old age, still praising divine righteousness and testifying to it throughout the day. The tongue described is set apart for praise, for the redeemed speak of that righteousness continually and without ceasing, all day long. That continual speaking belongs together with rejoicing and singing to God.
This praise is joined to the rejoicing of the soul in divine redemption. Such testimony rests upon divine faithfulness. Those who seek the speaker's hurt are confounded and brought unto shame.
