In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel.
God is known in Judah, and His name is great and honored throughout Israel. After He delivered Jerusalem from the Assyrian army, the people praised Him because His power and name to save had been vindicated before the surrounding nations.
This renown belongs with His tabernacle in Salem and His dwelling place in Zion. Although He does not dwell in temples made with hands, He honors the assemblies of His people with His presence and meets with them when they come together to seek Him, acknowledge their sins, and pray for one another. That coming together is of no avail unless they empty their hearts of every evil thing and worship Him in spirit and truth and in the beauty of holiness.
