Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?
Psalm 85:6 is a prayer asking God to revive and renew His people again so that they may rejoice in Him. It is the sincere prayer of penitent people who seek the Lord in order to find Him. It is prayed from unfeigned lips by those who desire His revealing. It belongs in appointed seasons of prayer. It is joined with keeping a high and holy ideal before the minds and consciences of the people by precept and example. That high and holy ideal set before God's people is to be attained through His power.
