Psalms 89:37

It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.

David's throne and royal line are established forever with the certainty and permanence of the moon as a faithful witness in heaven, in covenant promise pointing to an everlasting kingdom of the promised Child and Prince of Peace.
The moral law of the Ten Commandments likewise stands permanently and endures forever as a faithful witness in heaven.
Because that law reveals God's will and reflects His character, not one of its commands has been annulled or changed.

It cannot be broken or abolished because it rests on God's unchanging nature and the enduring relation between God and humanity.
The moral law was not abolished with the ceremonial law at Christ's death but has remained binding on all people in every age, resting also on humanity's nature.
Its principles were written on human hearts from creation, and though obscured and marred by sin they have not been erased while people retain a sense of good and evil and of right and wrong.
Christ came not to revoke the law but to establish it fully, to clarify its true meaning, and to reveal the full extent and spiritual purity of every commandment.
