For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD?
The promise to David and his house looks forward to the eternal ages and finds its complete fulfillment in Christ. Within that promise it is declared that no one in heaven, whether heavenly being or mighty ruler among the sons of the mighty, can be compared to the Lord or be likened to Him. His greatness and majesty and His power are beyond comparison with all created beings.
He is to be greatly feared and held in reverence by the heavenly assembly gathered around Him. The heavens themselves praise His wonders and His faithfulness, and the hosts of heaven give Him honor and praise. He does not depend on human beings for glory, since the hosts of heaven are able to honor their Creator.
