Psalms 96:3

Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.

The command is for God's people to proclaim His glory among the heathen nations and to tell of His wonders and wondrous works among all peoples and all nations. That declaring belongs to singing to the Lord in a song of praise and worship that recounts His wondrous works with gratitude expressed in prayer and song, with heaven joining in the praise. It is joined to making known and showing His salvation from day to day, and to praising Him for His greatness and for His worthiness of reverence above all gods.

His glory to be so declared is His character, His merciful kindness and tender love, which is to be revealed to all mankind. The verse expresses God's promise and oath that the whole earth shall be filled with His glory, made doubly sure so that it shall surely come to pass.

It points to the final triumph of God's chosen people and is meeting rapid fulfillment through the missionary activities of the church as the gospel message is proclaimed to all nations. By that proclamation men and women from every kindred, tongue, and people are brought to God.
