John Eats the Little Book on the ShoreBible World

Revelation 10:8

And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.

The open little book is Daniel's sealed prophecy now unsealed, so that Daniel and Revelation are one, the one a sealed prophecy and the other an opened revelation. The command to take it comes at the close of prophetic time, not at the end of this world's history or of probationary time. The Angel holding it is Jesus Christ, the mighty Angel, standing with His right foot on the sea and His left foot on the land, denoting supreme power and authority over the whole earth and the part He acts in the closing scenes of the conflict with Satan.

His position with one foot on the sea and the other on the land signifies the wide extent of the proclamation from the book, crossing the broad waters to be proclaimed in other countries, even to all the world. That same stance also shows that the first and second angels' messages were to be proclaimed and do their specific work with no further light revealed before that work was done. The unsealed book is the message in relation to prophetic time, which gives Daniel's prophecies their proper place in the first, second, and third angels' messages to the world.

The voice speaks after the seven thunders utter mysteries delineating events to transpire under the first and second angels' messages, and they were sealed up and not to be written because it was not best for the people to know them then, since faith had to be tested before further light was revealed in its order. Taking the book, leading to eating it, means comprehending truth and gladly receiving the message. The truth about the time of the advent of the Lord contained in it was a precious message to the soul.

That time message reaches from 1842 to the autumn of 1844, the longest reckoning reaching to the autumn of 1844. With that period the prophetic time preceding the advent ends, so after it there is no other message upon definite time and no definite tracing of prophetic time. The message is proclaimed with a most solemn oath that time should be no longer, while most wonderful and advanced truths are proclaimed in God's order.
