The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
The third and last woe is coming quickly upon the world. The eleventh chapter to which this declaration belongs must be read every verse to learn the things yet to take place in the cities, together with the scenes of the eighteenth chapter. Together those chapters give God's special indications and show His wonderful display of power in judgment and in destruction because of the sins of cities, as illustrated by a sinful city recently destroyed.
Those indications must not be ignored, and no indifference toward them is permitted. Witnessed destruction must not be made light of, nor must any flatter themselves that they will build far greater buildings in its place. To defiantly invest means as before will cause God to exercise His power to counteract such efforts. Those who have abused privileges and taken advantage of fellow men are called to make amends and to hear the Lord's voice.
Satan plans to produce variances, dissensions, and unprofitable satanic problems to fix minds on dissension and to keep them occupied and confused until the last woe comes. Because time is now too precious to be lost in confusion, the banner of truth must be held aloft higher and still higher. The unchanged faith must be carried into the cities that need it as the last message of warning that Christ is soon coming, where thousands of unbelievers need it.
The past messages already given must be repeated to the world. Every soul who has heeded the warning must be set at work instead of gathering at Battle Creek to spoil the minds of youth, physicians, and ministers.
