Revelation 6 pictures the terrible judgments of God, and the going forth of the red horse to take peace from the earth is one of those judgments revealed there. Its setting belongs together with the judgments revealed in Revelation 7 as well. It means that the Lord goes forth to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity, until the earth discloses her blood and no more covers her slain. Those judgments include hail about the weight of a talent falling upon the wicked who would not obey God but insulted Him and despised His mercies.
