The Censer Angel and Seven Trumpet Angelsby emmanuel_higgins

Revelation 8:5

And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

The casting of the censer marks a decisive crisis in the conflict over God's government on earth, for which heaven stands ready and which is brought upon the earth when God's justice speaks. The voices and thunderings and lightnings and earthquake are manifestations and representations of God's wrath and overwhelming judgments, coming as terrifying signs and universal desolation that prepare the world for this crisis. Only a little while remains before the angel steps down from the mercy seat, ending mercy, after which it will be too late.

The solemn events foretold are still future, when trumpet after trumpet is to be sounded and vial after vial poured out one after another upon the inhabitants of the earth. These scenes of stupendous interest are imminent and right upon us, and they are sure indications of the presence of Christ. He has directed in every aggressive movement, has accompanied the march of His cause through all the ages, and has promised to be with His people in all their conflicts to the end of the world, and He will vindicate His truth and cause it to triumph.

Now, while Christ is preparing heavenly mansions, is the time for preparation by putting on the beautiful garments of Christ's righteousness and proclaiming His warning message in clear, distinct lines. That work is to be done with increased activity as the time is at hand, as He supplies His faithful ones with motives and power of purpose and inspires them with hope and courage and valor.
