Revelation 8:7
The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
The first trumpet is one in a coming series of solemn events still future and yet to transpire upon the inhabitants of the earth, with trumpet sounding after trumpet and vial poured out after vial one after another. These trumpet events are of stupendous interest and are right upon us. Their sounding takes place within a battle directed by the Captain of the Lord's host standing at the head of the angels of heaven.
These events are sure indications of the presence of the One who has directed every aggressive advance, who has accompanied the march of His cause through all the ages, and who has pledged to be with His people in all their conflicts to the end of the world. He will vindicate His truth and cause it to triumph. Meeting what is described requires the power of the Holy Spirit upon God's people. He is ready to supply His faithful ones with motive and power of purpose, inspiring them with hope and courage and valor for increased activity because the time is at hand.
