Revelation 9:7
And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.
The verse stands within the prophecy of Revelation 9 understood to foretell the fall of the Ottoman power. That prediction was worked out from prophetic periods given in Scripture. The calculation fixed its fulfillment to August 11, 1840, when Turkey surrendered its independence by accepting the protection and control of European powers. The exact fulfillment strengthened confidence in the principles of prophetic interpretation followed by Miller and his associates.
