Romans 11:7

What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded

Israel as a people has not obtained what it was seeking for, but the chosen ones among them have obtained it. The verse belongs to the outline given in Romans 11 of a work for the Jews, a work that must not be ignored and must be handled with special wisdom. A great work therefore still remains to be done for the Jewish people, to bring many of the seed of Israel to accept Christ and to be grafted into Christ Jesus as the true stock.

That work calls for the wisdom of God, acting in all wisdom and righteousness to clear the King's highway, so that the Jews are given every opportunity of coming to the light. It calls also for patient labor and for practical support, such as a home of refuge where converted Jews who are cut off from their own people can be sheltered and can learn how to work for their own people.
