Romans 11:8
(According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day. (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.
The eleventh chapter of Romans, where it is written that God has given a spirit of slumber with eyes that should not see and ears that should not hear unto this day, is to be studied carefully because it bears on a great work to be done for the Jewish people. That work for the Jewish people must not be ignored or neglected. They are to be given every opportunity to come to the light. That approach to them requires special wisdom, and it requires righteousness.
Part of the work is to provide a refuge for Jews who accept Christ and are cut off from their people. Those converts are then to be trained to work for their own people. Its aim is that many of the seed of Israel may be grafted into the true stock, Christ Jesus.
