Romans 14:6

He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

Believers may differ in whether and how they regard a day, some observing it and others not, according to conscience. They may likewise differ in convictions about eating, with no requirement that one adopt the other's practice. In either course, whether eating or abstaining, each person is to act conscientiously before God as Lord, giving thanks to Him. Such conscientious differences are to be met with tenderness and respect, which includes honoring the convictions of a conscientious Sabbathkeeper alongside those of other Christians. Differences of opinion on these matters of days and food should not be allowed to cause disturbance or division among believers.
