I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God.
There is ground to glory through Jesus Christ in the things that pertain to God, including work done for God. That glorying is not in self-exaltation or in claims of faultless character, nor in what serves personal selfish interests rather than God's concerns. Humbling oneself before God is what allows Christ's life to be represented in one's own life.
This glory follows transformation of character through repentance and confession and reconversion and rebaptism, by which glory is turned toward God's concerns. In that transformation all the powers God has given are cleansed and sanctified and brought into working order and perfect unity. Such glorying comes from fitness for service, and only when brain power and the talent of speech are sanctified is a person fitted for that service.
