Abraham Looks Up at the Stars Outside His Tentby emmanuel_higgins

Romans 4:19

And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb:

To be not weak in faith is to draw near to God in active trust, refusing to give voice to doubt or unbelief. It is to walk humbly before Him so that He reveals Himself, acknowledging that human beings are only frail instruments who can do nothing of themselves while the Lord Himself directs the work. It is to go forward expecting great things from the Lord. Such faith will assuredly see the salvation of God, including His working and His gift of grace and the Holy Spirit to meet the need in Melbourne. Taken together with the teaching of chapter 5, this steadfastness shows that through faith human nature may lay hold upon the divine nature and overcome, because Christ took humanity and laid hold upon divinity.
