Romans 4:24

But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;

The righteousness credited to Abraham will also be credited to believers now if they believe in God who raised Jesus the Lord from the dead. The record was not written for Abraham's sake alone but for later believers, written beforehand for learning so that through patience and comfort of the Scriptures they may have hope. Abraham did not stagger at God's promise through unbelief but was strong in faith, giving glory to God, fully persuaded that what God had promised He was able to perform, and therefore it was counted to him as righteousness.

Those who share that unwavering trust receive the same credited righteousness. They are to increase in faith under present opportunities, not staggering at the promises through unbelief when seeming impossibilities bar the way, not failing nor becoming discouraged, but being strong in faith, giving glory to God, fully persuaded that what God promised He is able to perform, saying God is able. In connection with chapters 4 and 5, this faith enables human nature to grasp the divine nature, for Christ took humanity so that people may overcome through faith.
