Ruth 3:10
And he said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my daughter: for thou hast shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich. And he said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my daughter: for thou hast shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich.
Ruth 3:10 stands in the brief, beautiful pastoral story of Ruth, a little pastoral tale set in the time of the judges. In the immediate account Ruth finds favor with Boaz, who is willing to take up the duty of a kinsman-redeemer even though a nearer relative has the prior right. The book closes by bringing out the ancestry of Jesus, into which Ruth, a Moabite woman, is brought as an ancestor of Christ.
In this the book shows God's care for the promised Seed, since Ruth became an ancestor of Christ. Its near kinsman is a type of Christ.
