Zephaniah 1:10

And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that there shall be the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and an howling from the second, and a great crashing from the hills.

In that day there will be a loud outcry rising from the Fish Gate of Jerusalem, a wailing from the Second Quarter, and a great crashing and destruction sounding from the surrounding hills. These cries are the judgments the Lord declares He will bring upon evildoers in the day of His sacrifice, which is the great day of the Lord. That great day brings wrath and distress upon those who have sinned against Him.

That great day is near and hastening greatly. It is a day of wrath and trouble and distress and wasteness and desolation and darkness and gloominess and clouds and thick darkness, with trumpet and alarm sounded against fenced cities and high towers. In it distress comes upon men because they have sinned against the Lord, and their silver and gold cannot deliver them. The same outcry and crashing apply to the destructive consequences of widespread disregard for God's law and to judgments already unfolding among people who have had great light and opportunities to know God's ways.
