Zephaniah 3:6
I have cut off the nations: their towers are desolate; I made their streets waste, that none passeth by: their cities are destroyed, so that there is no man, that there is none inhabitant. I have cut off the nations: their towers are desolate; I made their streets waste, that none passeth by: their cities are destroyed, so that there is no man, that there is none inhabitant.
God has cut off the nations in judgment, leaving their strongholds and towers desolate. He has laid their streets waste so that no traveler passes through them. Their cities have been destroyed until no person and no inhabitant remains in them.
These desolations were designed to cause people to fear God and to receive correction. Instead of repenting, they persisted in corruption and refused to be reformed. This same pattern marks the corrupt condition of the world in the last days, and this destruction of guilty nations stands as prophecy being fulfilled.
