Zephaniah 3:8
Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.
The determination of the Lord is to gather the nations and assemble the kingdoms together in order to pour upon them His indignation, even all His fierce anger. All the earth shall be devoured and consumed by the fire of His jealousy. Until the day He rises up to that prey of judgment, His people are called to wait upon Him. Beyond that judgment will come a changed people who worship Him together with one consent, a humble and lowly remnant who trust in Him and live without deceit and without fear. Because that day is coming, the warning presses with present urgency to seek the Lord now while He may still be found on the pardoning side, before judgment arrives.
