马太福音按才干受责任的比喻:忠心管家的教训
将才干埋在土里为什么会被主看作是“又恶又懒”的行为?
Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.( Matthew 25:24-28 KJV )

24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew you that you are an hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not strewed:
25 And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the earth: see, there you have that is yours.
26 His lord answered and said to him, You wicked and slothful servant, you knew that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strewed:
27 You should therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received my own with usury.
28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it to him which has ten talents.

Matthew 25:24-28 describes the judgment of an unfaithful steward who, through fear and selfishness, failed to improve the gifts entrusted to him by his Master Matthew 25:24-28. This passage serves as a solemn warning that all our possessions, time, and abilities are talents for which we are individually responsible to God.
The Heart of the Unfaithful Servant
The servant with one talent manifested a grudging spirit and excused his own neglect by falsely accusing his Lord of being a hard and austere man Luke 19:21. By claiming he was "afraid," he revealed a lack of trust in God's goodness and a desire to keep his Lord from benefiting from any improvements he might make. This attitude represents those who today make charges against God or those bearing responsibilities in His cause to justify their own spiritual indolence.
The Sin of Buried Talents
Hiding a talent in the earth signifies a failure to use God-given opportunities to benefit others or advance the cause of Christ.
Temporal Means: Many bury their "talents" by investing money in worldly speculations, secret societies, or selfish indulgences rather than the salvation of souls.
Influence and Ability: Even those with limited qualifications are expected to use their probationary time to make the most of the gifts they possess.
Neglect of Duty: To hide a talent is to rob God of the "usury" or return He justly expects from His investment in us.
The Master's Just Reckoning
When the Master returns to reckon with His servants, the unfaithful servant is pronounced "wicked and slothful" because he knew his Lord's requirements but deliberately chose inaction Matthew 25:26.
Individual Accountability: Every person must render a strict account of their stewardship, whether they managed large or small responsibilities Romans 14:12.
Loss of Privilege: The talent is taken from the slothful servant and given to the one who demonstrated faithfulness, for those who improve what is lent to them will be trusted with more Matthew 25:28-29.
Final Consequences: The unprofitable servant is cast into outer darkness, illustrating that neglecting the work of soul-saving is a soul-destroying sin Matthew 25:30.
Lessons for Our Time
The parable applies specifically to those living in the last days during the investigative judgment. We are encouraged to "unfold our napkin" and begin trading with our Lord's goods today.
Practical Benevolence: The decisions of the last day turn upon how we have treated the needy and suffering, as these acts are regarded as being done unto Christ Himself Matthew 25:35-40.
Constant Improvement: Character is developed through earnest, unselfish effort, and we must be diligent in business while remaining fervent in spirit Romans 12:11.
Faithfulness in Little Things: Success in Christian effort is found in conscientious attention to the smallest duties, which prepares us for larger responsibilities Luke 16:10.
