Who Is the Supreme Being After All Is Restored?
Who will be the Supreme Being after all things are restored?
After all is said and done and all things are restored ... who is the one being that is the Supreme God of the universe?
AdventAI
After all things are restored and the work of redemption is complete, the Bible reveals that God the Father is the one being who is supreme as all in all. While the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are perfectly united and gave themselves together to the plan of redemption, the ultimate result of Christ’s reign is the restoration of the Father’s supreme will across the entire moral universe.
The Great Goal of Restoration
The purpose of the plan of salvation is to return the universe to its original order, where God’s will is supreme.
A Unified Kingdom: The kingdom of heaven is a place where God’s will is done as it is in heaven, and where the authority of the Son is recognized by every mind.
The End of the Mediatorial Reign: When the end comes and Christ has put down all opposing rule and authority, He delivers up the kingdom to God the Father.
God All in All: The grand result of the history of sin and redemption is summarized in the fact that God becomes "all in all".
The Relationship Between the Father and the Son
The supremacy of the Father does not diminish the divinity of Christ, but rather defines the order of the heavenly government.
Co-equal Divinity: Christ is the express image of the invisible God and possesses life that is original, unborrowed, and underived.
Voluntary Subjection: After using the power conferred upon Him to destroy death and restore the earth, the Son Himself becomes subject to the Father.
The Shared Throne: Even in the new earth, the "throne of God and of the Lamb" represents their eternal union, though the Father remains the ultimate Source and Sovereign.
The Eternal Light of the Universe
In the restored world, the presence of the Father is the light and glory of His people.
Everlasting Light: Isaiah describes the new state of things where the Lord God is an everlasting light and the days of mourning are ended.
Righteous People: All who inherit the land will be righteous, serving as the branch of God's planting that He may be glorified.
Final Exaltation: The Father, who loved the world so much that He gave His only begotten Son, will be the object of eternal praise as the universal Sovereign.
"And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all" 1 Corinthians 15:28. This is the beautiful conclusion of the great controversy, where love and harmony are forever restored under the supremacy of the Father. 🌟
