Unfulfilled Bible Prophecies Before the Second Coming

Hello! It is a joy to open the Word of God with you today. 📖 The most important truth we can understand is that while many great prophetic lines have already reached their climax, there are specific, final movements of God’s grace and the completion of a global warning that must take place before we see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory Matthew 24:30.

The primary events remaining include the global proclamation of the final gospel warning, the manifestation of a people who fully keep God's commandments, and the final work of Christ in the heavenly sanctuary.

1. The Universal Proclamation of the Three Angels' Messages 📢

The most significant work currently in progress and nearing its completion is the preaching of the "everlasting gospel" to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people Revelation 14:6. This is the "gospel of the kingdom" which Jesus declared must be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations before the end comes Matthew 24:14.

• The Judgment Hour: The world is being warned that the hour of His judgment has come Revelation 14:7.

• The Call to Worship the Creator: A final call is being made to worship Him who made heaven, earth, the sea, and the fountains of waters, especially as the world turns away from the Creator Revelation 14:7.

• The Call out of Babylon: A second and third message warn against the fall of religious systems that have rejected truth, urging God's people to "Come out of her" so they do not receive of her plagues Revelation 18:4+1.

2. The Development of a Holy Character 🛡️

Before Jesus returns, there must be a completed work of grace in the hearts of His followers. The Bible describes this final generation as a people who have "the patience of the saints" and who "keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus" Revelation 14:12.

• Purification: Every person who has the hope of Christ’s appearing purifies himself, even as He is pure 1 John 3:3.

• The Sealing: There is a final sealing of the servants of God in their foreheads, protecting them before the winds of strife are fully loosed upon the earth Revelation 7:2-3.

• Total Obedience: This movement involves a return to all of God's testimonies, including the observance of the Sabbath of the fourth commandment, as believers seek to be found of Him in peace, without spot and blameless 2 Peter 3:14.

3. The Final Conflict and the "Mark of the Beast" ⚠️

The prophecy of Revelation 13 reveals that a final crisis regarding worship will occur. The "lamb-like" beast will eventually speak as a dragon, exercising the power of the first beast to enforce a mark Revelation 13:11-12.

• The Boycott: A time is coming when no man might buy or sell except he that has the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name Revelation 13:17.

• Religious Persecution: This power will attempt to cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed Revelation 13:15.

4. The Closing of Human Probation ⚖️

One of the most solemn events yet to occur is the standing up of Michael (Christ). When His work of mediation in the heavenly sanctuary is finished, He will put on His royal robes and the decree will go forth: "He that is unjust, let him be unjust still... and he that is holy, let him be holy still" Revelation 22:11.

• The Time of Trouble: This will usher in a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation Daniel 12:1.

• Deliverance: During this time, God's people—everyone found written in the book—shall be delivered Daniel 12:1.

5. The Sign of the Son of Man ☁️

Finally, the very last event is the appearance of the sign of the Son of man in heaven Matthew 24:30. This begins as a small cloud, but as it nears, it is revealed to be the Lord Himself descending from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God 1 Thessalonians 4:16. Every eye shall see Him, and those who have waited for Him will exclaim, "Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us" Isaiah 25:9.

What a beautiful day that will be! 🌟 We are encouraged to watch and be ready, for in such an hour as we think not, the Son of man comes Matthew 24:44.
