Prophecies Pointing to Christ's Coming
“Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand.” Joel 3: 1.
“The Hour of His Judgment Is Come”
“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come; and worship him that made heaven, and earth; and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” Revelation 14: 6, 7.
“And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldst give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.” Revelation 11: 18.
“So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.” James 2: 12.
“The Seventh Day Is the Sabbath of the Lord Thy God”
“On the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it, because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.” Genesis 2: 2, 3.
Christ the Author of the Sabbath
“Verily my Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations: that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you.” Exodus 31: 12-17.
The Sabbath a Part of the Moral Law
“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.” Exodus 20: 8-11.
Christ an Observer of the True Sabbath
“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” Matthew 5: 17-19.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2: 8, 9.

Walking as Christ Walked
“He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.” 1 John 2: 6. Let us show our love for the Lord Christ, who died that we might live, by following in his footsteps and doing as he did when he lived among men. To us as to his disciples of old he says, “Follow me.”
