Kansas Church Treasurers.

THE third quarter of 1878 is nearly closed. Winter will soon be upon us; and your ministers have families that must be provided for or they must suffer. Our State treasurer is paying two per cent per month for money to meet the expenses of the Conference, and the ministers have been paid but very little since Conference, and must have means or leave their fields of labor and provide for their families. Shall they go home? It is for you to say. Pledges to help the ministers made at our Conference should all be paid. Will all help just at this time? See that all pay something, if it is but little, and let those that have means pay their s. b. in advance. If our brethren were all living up to the tithing system, we should not now be in debt. We need the blessing of God, and in Mal. 3:10 he tells us just how to obtain it: “Bring ye all the tithes into the store-house.” Will you do it? J. N. AYERS.
