Obituary.

DIED at her home in Fresno City, Cal., May 27, 1878, Sister Maria De Long, aged 22 years and 14 days. She embraced present truth, and was baptized at the California camp-meeting held at Yountville four years ago. Sister De Long's sickness was over five months, and most of the time she was a great sufferer, and especially the last few hours of her life. But she bore it with patience, and resignation. We believe she sleeps in Jesus, and will awake and come forth when the last trump shall sound. She leaves a husband, one child about 18 months old, and a large circle of friends and relatives who deeply mourn their loss. Funeral discourse by the writer before a large and sympathetic audience, from Hosea 13:14: “I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death.”
