WHO HAVE LIFE.

1. WHAT is our condition naturally?
“For ye are dead.” Col. 3:3.
2. For what purpose did Christ come into the world?
“I am come that they might have life.” John 10:10.
3. How may we obtain this life?
“That believing, ye might have life through His name.” John 20:31.
“And ye will not come to Me, that ye might have life.” John 5:40.
4. Who only has life?
“He that hath the Son hath life.” 1 John 5:12.
5. Have any others life?
“He that hath not the Son of God, hath not life.” Id.
Query—Then how can the wicked who “have not God” and “hath not life,” live to blaspheme God to all eternity?
6. What is this life called?
“The gift of God is eternal life.” Rom. 6:23.
7. Upon whom is this gift bestowed?
“My sheep hear My voice, and I give unto them eternal life.” John 10:27, 28.
Query—Do those who are found on the left hand, or among the goats, receive eternal life also?
8. What is necessary on our part in order to receive eternal life?
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.
9. Have the wicked eternal life?
“He that believeth not the Son, shall not see life.” John 3:36.
10. Through what agency is this life brought to us?
“And hath brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel.” 2 Tim. 1:10.
Query—Then if eternal life comes through the Gospel, is a “gift” received by faith, how can it be possible for the finally incorrigible, who reject the Gospel, refuse the proffered “gift,” and have not faith, to live to be tortured in a never-ending hell so long as God shall exist? Is it not clear from the above scriptures that in order for us to live to all eternity we must believe? Is it not true that “the wages of sin is death”?
