The Journey to Egypt. “Take the young Child, and His mother, and flee into Egypt.”
A young Jesus sits barefoot beside a large rock in a lush woodland clearing, wearing a flowing tan robe and wrapped head covering. He leans forward thoughtfully with one hand resting on the stone and the other on his robe. Dense greenery, flowering plants, and tall trees surround him, while a small bird flies overhead. In the pale blue sky, soft clouds and a faint rainbow stretch across the background, creating a peaceful, pastoral atmosphere.
GOING UP TO THE PASSOVER.
The Child Jesus Among the Doctors.
The scene portrays Jesus working as a young carpenter in a rustic workshop in Nazareth. At center, a long-haired bearded man in a brown robe raises a hammer while fitting or shaping a large wooden door. An older, gray-bearded craftsman wearing a head covering sits at right, using a long-handled tool beside a wooden chest or workbench, while another man stands in the sunlit stone doorway behind them. Exposed beams, rough masonry, timber planks, curled wood shavings, chisels, an axe, a saw, and other tools fill the warm, earthy interior. No text is visible.
Jesus Giving to the Poor.
A bearded man with long dark hair, dressed in a loose cream-colored robe and brown mantle, sits barefoot on a rock beside a tranquil lake, gazing upward through a leafy tree. The lush landscape includes ferns, flowering plants, palms, distant purple mountains, and wooded hills. Two long-legged wading birds stand in the shallow water, another bird flies above the lake, and a small songbird perches on a branch overhead. Warm golden light fills the sky, creating a peaceful, contemplative scene.
“If Thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.”

Return to the Jordan. “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”
A biblical scene at Cana shows Jesus in a white robe and blue drapery extending his hand toward Mary, who gestures toward him from the left. Behind them, a woman balances a large earthen jar on her head while a bearded man stands beside her. In the foreground, a seated servant handles a large brown water jar, with several additional clay vessels nearby, including a prominent stone jar filled with water. The group stands in a sunlit courtyard of stone buildings beneath palm and leafy trees.

IN THE SYNAGOGUE AT NAZARETH.
A crowded synagogue at Nazareth is shown beneath a large rounded stone arch, with many bearded men in flowing robes and turbans seated or standing closely together, facing toward an unseen speaker. The foreground figures are rendered from behind and in profile, including men in blue, brown, cream, and rust-colored garments, while the congregation fills the warmly lit interior. A pale architectural opening and recessed wall structure appear beyond the arch. The lower right bears the lettering “C. H. Robinson” and “Copyright 1895 by Int. Tr. Sc.”
“He explained what God thinks most precious”
A dramatic nighttime seascape shows a tall three-masted sailing ship battling choppy, white-capped waves near a rugged rocky coastline. On the right, a lighthouse stands on a cliff, its glowing lantern casting broad golden beams through dark, swirling storm clouds and toward the vessel. Waves crash against the jagged foreground rocks, while several white seabirds fly across the sky and sea. The palette contrasts deep blues and blacks with warm amber light, and the initials “R.A.S.” appear at the lower left.
In a rugged, sunlit mountain pass, a wounded, nearly unclothed traveler lies sprawled across the foreground rocks, with cuts and bruises visible on his body. A compassionate Samaritan in flowing robes and a red head covering kneels beside him, supporting him and pouring oil or wine from a small flask onto his wounds. A saddled donkey stands immediately behind them among shrubs and boulders, while a distant robed traveler walks away along the winding path. Towering ochre cliffs, greenery, and a bird gliding overhead complete the biblical wilderness scene.
THE DISCIPLES PLUCKING CORN.
“Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the Sabbath day.”
Under a broad stone arcade in an ancient city, Jesus, dressed in a flowing blue robe and white garment, extends his hand toward a crowd gathered beside a healing pool. In the foreground, a bearded, reclining man in brown clothing lies on a mat and looks up at him, while another weary figure sits against a column with a staff. Numerous men, women, and children wait near the water, some entering or emerging from the pool. Stone arches, a striped market awning, palm foliage, vine-covered beams, and pale masonry frame the sunlit scene.
“Take up thy bed and walk.”

THE LAST SUPPER. “With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer.”
Jesus kneels in the foreground of a stone-walled chamber, washing a disciple’s bare foot over a shallow basin of water while holding a white towel. He wears a simple cream robe and leans forward with a calm, humble expression. Around him, the disciples sit or stand at long set tables, watching with surprise, concern, or reflection; one gestures toward the scene while another clasps his hands. Oil lamps hang from the ceiling, casting warm light over the gathered men, pottery cups, plates, and the stone floor.
A bearded man in flowing white robes, a dark vest, and a windblown head covering strides purposefully through a sunlit, narrow stone passage. He looks back over his shoulder with a serious expression while carrying a brown satchel across his body. Weathered ochre and reddish walls surround barred windows, arched doorways, and a small domed structure in the background. Prickly pear cactus with green and purple pads and bright red fruit fills the lower right foreground, contrasting with the dusty earth and warm shadows.
The Agony in the Garden. “O My Father, if this cup may not pass away from Me, except I drink it, Thy will be done.”
In a moonlit garden of dense trees and palms, Jesus stands at the right wearing a flowing white robe and deep blue mantle, extending one hand toward three sleeping disciples. Two men lie together in the foreground, one bearded and wrapped in tan and green garments while another rests in a brown cloak; a third, older bearded man in purple reclines at the lower right. Lush shrubs, flowering plants, rocky ground, and a large agave-like plant surround the figures, while the bright moon glows through the leafy canopy behind them.
In a dim stone interior or courtyard, Jesus stands at the center wearing a flowing cream-colored robe, gently holding a red-haired, bearded man in dark clothing who embraces and kisses him. The scene depicts the betrayal, with Jesus remaining calm and composed as the other man presses close. A third bearded figure in a brown robe watches from the right, partly framed by a shadowed arched doorway. Wooden doors, rough masonry, sandals, and warm light on the central figures establish the ancient setting. No text or lettering appears within the image.

“Art Thou the King of the Jews?”
Mocking the Saviour. “He submitted to the coarsest insult and outrage with dignified composure.”
Christ or Barabbas. “Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas.”
A Roman soldier in bronze armor and a crested helmet stands at left, raising a multi-tailed whip above his head while gripping the purple robe of Jesus. Jesus, at right, is shown bare-backed with numerous red welts and wounds, his long dark hair and beard turned in profile as he walks away. A pale cloth hangs around his waist and shoulder beneath the draped purple garment. The two figures occupy a shadowed forest or garden setting framed by dense foliage, with warm light behind them and deep green-brown darkness at the edges.
“And the soldiers plaited a crown of thorns, and put it on His head.”
“I am innocent of the blood of this just person.”
A Roman soldier in bronze armor and a red-crested helmet gestures commandingly in a dusty Jerusalem street while holding a whip. Beside him, a bearded man in a brown robe strains beneath a large wooden cross, lifting and supporting its beams. In the foreground, Jesus, wearing a crown of thorns, a red tunic, and blue cloak, has fallen face-down on the rocky ground with one hand extended. Sunlit stone buildings and a hazy sky form the background, emphasizing the scene of His journey to Calvary.
The Crucifixion.
They pierced My hands and My feet.
Darkness on Calvary
“About the cross was darkness, as deep as the blackest midnight.”
“The vail of the temple was rent in twain.”
The image depicts the removal of Jesus from the cross. Jesus, wearing a crown of thorns and a white cloth, hangs centrally with his head bowed while two men in colorful robes stand on ladders, supporting his body and working at the nails. A third man below reaches upward beside the ladder. The wooden cross rises against a warm, hazy landscape and sky, with a small plaque above it bearing the clearly visible inscription “INRI.” A clay vessel, wooden chest, folded cloth, and scattered tools lie on the ground beneath the cross.
